Pyramid Chart

A Pyramid Chart is an inverted Funnel Chart. Conceptually this demonstrates the concept of a large foundation which supports increasingly smaller layers. This works to demonstrate heirarchical data in which there is a many-to-one relationship between each set of data.

It is acceptable to use this chart as an alternative to the Funnel Chart because it can also demonstrate the same concept. Usually, the smallest set of data is considered to be the mot important and therefore it makes sense that it is shown at the top of the pyramid.

Instructions

  • Use the same data that was used for the Funnel Chart example.
  • Change the height and width settings to 500px x 500px.
  • Select the Pyramid chart type.

Summary

The Pyramid Chart can be thought of as inverted Funnel Chart. Each can work with the same type of data.
