Allows creation and management of plans, buckets and task in Microsoft Planner. By passing information from SharePoint into Planner, it is possible to implement tight integration between the two, easily and without complicated configurations.

The action uses the credentials of the action creator for access Planner. Which means all operation results will appear in Planner as if performed by that user. You will be prompted to grant access to Planner when you save your first Manage Planner action. Note that you have to be an Global Administrator to grant this permission. If you are not an administrator, you must request an administrator's approval.

With this action types you can do the following:

Plans

Create new plans, rename existing plans and delete plans.

You must enter the name of the group (team) that is associated with the plan. A plan cannot be created without associating it with a group. Provide the plan name when updating or deleting an existing plan.

Buckets

Create new buckets, rename existing buckets and delete buckets.

You must enter the names of the group (team) and the plan containing the bucket. Provide the bucket name when updating or deleting an existing bucket.

Tasks

  • Create new tasks, change properties of existing tasks and delete tasks
  • Add and removed assigned users from tasks
  • Add comments to tasks

You must enter the names of the group (team) and the plan containing the task. Provide the task name when updating or deleting an existing task bucket. Additionally, when creating a new task you must provide the bucket name. You do not have to enter the bucket name when updating an existing task, unless you want to change the bucket it's in.

When updating a task, you only need to specify values in the properties you want to change. Properties you leave empty will not be modified.

Priority property is a numeric value between 0 (highest priority) and 10 (lowest priority). These will appear in some interfaces as Urgent (0-1), Important (2-4), Medium (5-7) and Low (8-10).

Progress value is set from 0 to 100. When a task is set to 100, its status is automatically set to Completed.
