Use this tool pane to specify what data is aggregated by the web part. You must add at least one data source for the web part to function.

• Site URL – server-relative or absolute URL of the site (or site collection) to get the data from. Leave blank for the current one.
• Scope – specify the extend of data aggregation
  • Current site – get data only from the site specified in Site URL (or current one if left blank).
  • Current site and below – get data from the site specified in Site URL (or current one if left blank) and all the sites below that site.
  • Current site collection – get data all across the site collection containing the site specified in Site URL (or current one if left blank).
• Locate by – rule for locating the source lists
  • Base type – select from the following base types:
    • List
    • Document Library
    • Discussion Board
    • Survey
    • Issue
  • List template – select from the following list templates:

• Specific lists – select one or more specific lists by name. This option is only available when Scope is set to Current site.

 You can combine multiple different data sources to get the information you need.

Note: In Office 365 the List tempalte is selected in the general settings. The Data sources are selected in the profile editor here
